4. Should - He Generates The Biggest Reactions
...can you imagine the shockwaves that would hit the wrestling world if Punk were the one to dethrone Roman Reigns? The carnage it would wreak on the internet alone would be biblical.
For the record, this writer hasn't taken leave of his senses - Roman dropping the belt to Punk is an obviously terrible idea. It would fly in the face of the story WWE have spent years telling, would be a slap in the face to the rest of the locker room...
...and Punk simply doesn't need that kind of boost to generate an arena-shaking reaction.
Love him or hate him, whenever Cult of Personality hits the arena is guaranteed to be drowned in cheers, boos, or a mixture of both. Even when the crowds mostly turned against Punk in his final days in AEW, they weren't sitting on their hands - even if the reaction was negative, it was still the loudest of the night.
Should Punk make his way to WWE, it would be easy for them to piggyback off his worsening reputation and turn him into the biggest heel in the company - very much the anti-Cody Rhodes. (Now there's an idea for a feud...)
Frankly, it's likely WWE would want to portray Punk as a bad guy anyway...
