5 Reasons WWE Should Sign Samoa Joe (And 4 Reasons They Shouldn't)

2. His Body Type Is Not What WWE Typically Likes

Joe is not a bodybuilder type of wrestler. He's a wide body guy. He looks bigger now than he did five years ago and also much bigger than 11 years ago when he was wrestling hour long matches with CM Punk in Ring of Honor. WWE does employ some "big body" guys already like Bray Wyatt, who is set to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and the NXT Champion Kevin Owens. A NXT guy like Bull Dempsey is also not ripped. However, those guys are exceptions. If you look at the WWE roster right now you can see that it's made up of men that look physically impressive. They are ripped. Joe is not and he's never going to look like that. That's just not his body type. When he was in the best shape of his career 10-15 years ago he was still a big guy because that's who he is. He was able to work long matches at a high level because of his excellent conditioning. It's probably not as easy now that he's older. Perhaps Triple H wouldn't mind working with Joe because of his body, but Vince McMahon might look at him and be turned off right away. Hunter probably knows more about his wrestling past than Vince does, so that could be why Vince isn't sold on the idea of bringing in Joe.
