5 Rivalries WWE Should NOT Book In 2020 (And 5 They Should)
4. Should NOT Book - King Corbin Vs. Roman Reigns
The entire wrestling universe knows that Roman Reigns has lost the support of Vince McMahon now. The creative team booked him as the company's next golden boy. But, it is unlikely that the Chairman would give him the same push when he comes back. The backstage officials had planned to put the Universal title on him once again at WrestleMania 36. However, Reigns opted out of the event at the last moment.
Braun Strowman received an opportunity to challenge for the most sumptuous prize on the blue brand, and he grabbed it with both hands to become the new face of SmackDown. 'The Monster Among Men' is gaining momentum as the top guy now. On the other side, the editing team removed Reigns from the WrestleMania 31 footage. Also, there has been no reference to 'The Big Dog' whatsoever.
The chances that the writers insert him in the Universal Championship scene are meager. Hence, they may look for an alternative route that could result in another chapter of the storied rivalry between Roman and King Corbin. Vince rates the former United States Champion very highly and would love to push him to the moon. So, there could be an angle where the heel superstar finally defeats his toughest opponent and then ascends to the world title scene.
However, they should not make this decision at any cost because the fans would give up on the product after seeing another feud between these two SmackDown stars.
