The mystery hacker on SmackDown has promised to reveal his identity soon during his latest video. His appearance and promos have suggested that the hooded figure could likely be Mustafa Ali.

Also, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported a few days ago that WWE was planning to form a team of Ali and Shorty G through this angle. The exact details of that plot will soon be out.

However, the creative team had tried to push Ali as their next top star earlier. Last year, they booked him to pin Daniel Bryan, and then he made it to the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship. Unfortunately, a last-minute injury forced Vince McMahon to rewrite his scripts as Kofi Kingston replaced the Cruiserweight star. A few months later, Ali came very close to the Money in the Bank briefcase until Brock Lesnar made a late entry in the match and stole the contract from him. Subsequently, the backstage officials filmed classy promos for his brand-new character.

These signs indicate that the organization wished to have the former 205 Live wrestler in the main event scene. The Illinois native could, therefore, receive a stellar push on the TV soon.
