5 Stars Who Should Be Thrilled Triple H Is In Charge Of WWE (And 5 Who Should Be Worried)

3. Thrilled - Shayna Baszler

Vince McMahon just didn’t get Shayna Baszler.

It’s no secret that Vince had a certain dated criteria for what a woman in the WWE should look like, and Shayna Baszler was never going to fit that mould. But that’s why she stood out so much. She shattered that mould in a four-hundred-plus day reign of absolute violence in NXT that she seemed a dead cert to be a top star in the women’s division.

She should have won the 2020 Royal Rumble, only for Vince to revert to form and give the victory to Charlotte Flair. Her dominance in the Elimination Chamber was a fantastic course correction, but then out of nowhere, Vince lost interest. Losing to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania brought Baszler’s momentum to a screeching halt.

Since then, she has floundered. It seems as if only one person not only saw the value in her, but also knew how to bring that to the fore.

Luckily for the Queen of Spades, that man is now in charge of creative. Hopefully, Liv Morgan survives Rousey this weekend, because having Baszler absolutely annihilate Morgan and the fan’s dreams by dominating her and taking the belt will rectify a lot of damage quite quickly.

Baszler could be a major pillar in the WWE Women’s division going forward, and having seen her rise to the challenge before, it’s not hard to see the former leader of Evolution returning to the well.
