5 Things AEW Does Better Than NXT (And 5 NXT Does Better Than AEW)

NXT...

5. Keeping Their Mouths Shut

You never punch down.

When you're in a position of power and take shots at those with considerably less, you become a bully. That's primarily why you rarely hear WWE personalities launching barbs at All Elite Wrestling. It has happened (remember Triple H's "pissant promotion" comment?) and will likely happen again someday, though NXT personnel generally do a far better job of resisting to throw shade than the other side.

That individuals who felt frustrated and creatively stifled in WWE (Brodie Lee, Cody, Jon Moxley, etc.) may work with a chip on their shoulder is understandable. They should be allowed to let off some steam to an extent, but it reaches a point of pettiness. Yes, potshots energise much of AEW's base, but when your televised character is chastising followers for sneezing a fortnight after letting rip on a podcast, it reflects poorly.

More than that, it harms the product's perception amongst the wider audience as well, leaving it reeking of Little Man Syndrome. These things are best housed on Talk is Jericho, not Dynamite.
