5 Things AEW Must Steal From WCW (And 5 It Shouldn’t!)

7. No: The Elite “B-Team”

The nWo will always be held aloft as ex-WCW boss Eric Bischoff's best idea. That rebellious unit still shifts merchandise today - it's a powerhouse of pro wrestling marketing, and the kind of thing Vince McMahon himself wishes he came up with. Of course, like most successful ideas, it was watered down beyond belief.

Remember the nWo 'B-team' goofs like Vincent, Scott Norton, Stevie Ray and the like? They let the nWo name live on via WCW house shows, but they did irreparable damage to the brand by appearing less than compared to top stars like Hollywood Hogan or The Outsiders.

Bullet Club Gold could become The Elite's version of that in AEW.

Jay White and Juice Robinson are soft allies of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Hangman Page. The Elite is AEW's own stamp on the Bullet Club blueprint anyway, so bringing in some of their pals as an offshoot is risky.

Keep them separate, please!
