5 Things AEW Must Steal From WCW (And 5 It Shouldn’t!)

6. Yes: Thunder’s Original Vision

Initially, Eric Bischoff didn't want anything to do with Thunder. Launching another WCW show in early-1998 wasn't his decision, but one handed down from the Turner overlords that he just had to deal with. So, Bisch decided that Thunder would have a chance if he was able to split the WCW roster in two.

That didn't happen in the end, but it was a fleeting thought for 'Easy E'. Bret Hart was supposed to be a linchpin star on Thursday nights, and Goldberg was all over Thunder's early promotion. It was almost like he and Hart would become Thunder exclusives whilst the nWo ran Nitro.

Food for thought, Mr. Khan. Rumours have been doing the rounds that AEW will soon spread its huge roster across Dynamite and Collision. In other words, All Elite would be running a WWE-style brand split, which is an idea Bischoff almost implemented first.

"You can only see CM Punk on Collision" wouldn't be the worst plan.
