5 Times A Feud With Kane Was The Kiss Of Death For WWE Champions

2. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is the latest victim of the post-WrestleMania Kane curse, but stands out on this list for being the only one who hasn't yet directly feuded with the man, at least not a rivalry which has led to matches on Pay-Per-View. It remains to be seen whether or not that will change, because there's certainly room for WWE to turn Kane babyface, programming him opposite the brash young champion and The Authority in General. At Payback, Kane ended weeks of speculation over his loyalty, helping Rollins retain the belt and fighting off Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns as challengers. It was all a bit sudden, given that the main crux of the match had depended on the questions about Kane's fondness for the champion, and whether or not he would give up his role in The Authority to stick it to him and cause Rollins to lose the belt. It's a well-known fact that ratings aren't exactly lighting up with Rollins at the helm, but that's more a damning insight into WWE right now, rather than a damning verdict on the man's ability as a top star. Booking him against Kane in featured promos hasn't really helped matters, and whereas a few matches against the big man wouldn't be the end of the world, it would not signify dramatic change in the ratings dial.
