5 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 15)

1. Wrestling Clashes With Reality

Sometimes the best feuds have a healthy dose of reality mixed in.

In the case of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, they’re either working the room exceptionally well, or they have some serious real-life heat that’s bleeding over into their Survivor Series match, and that’s making the champion-versus-champion match a can’t-miss one.

Lynch lit into Flair Monday night, noting how they used to be best friends, how Becky cheered Charlotte on, was there with a shoulder to cry on and rode everywhere with her. But she also realized that friendship came with the caveat that she would always be in the background, which is why she broke off and fought to make a name for herself while Flair just had to be a one-note rip-off.

The promo was so scathing that it made you forget for a minute that this is a rivalry we’ve seen 100 times, and with both women on different brands, there’s little chance we’re getting more than this for a good while.

Still, the mix of reality and wrestling made for a good promo Monday night, one that Becky brought passion to, which made it click even more.
