5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 11)

3. Doing It For The Division

Honesty time: Jade Cargill's TBS Title defence vs. AQA and Serena Deeb squishing Katie Arquette both failed to hit the required standards on Dynamite. It was a poor one-two punch for the AEW women's division, and that's why it was so good to see Britt Baker ride to the rescue on Rampage.

Being fair, ex-Dark regular Robyn Regular met her halfway.

Their seven-minute scrap was well-worked and didn't try too hard to be epic; so many matches fall into that trap, but Baker vs. Renegade knew it didn't have a ton of time to work with on a 60-minute show. A win for Britt was complemented by more storyline goodness involving Thunder Rosa too.

She roared out to get in the champ's face, and AEW even pounced on the chance to develop the ongoing power struggle between Jamie Hayter and Mercedes Martinez too. This was a smart, 10-ish minute piece of business from start to finish.
