5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 11)

4. Jay White’s Build

Jay White Trent Beretta
AEW

...he's behind you!

Jay White, who only just arrived in AEW on Wednesday, hit a Bladerunner on Trent after the opening tag. That followed some shenanigans with Orange Cassidy (that few cared about, sadly - he needs something big to capitalise on the buzz surrounding that 'Lights Out' match vs. Adam Cole last month).

On a more cheerful note, White attacking Beretta popped the crowd again. It's also smart to schedule Jay's very first AEW match for next week's Rampage, because that puts the show over a little and gives both guys something to build towards if they're cutting promos on Dynamite.

Excitement should be tempered by the fact that so many new faces have flooded AEW's roster over the past year or so. Can New Japan's man become an integral part of the All Elite scene, or will this early hype die off all too quickly?

Fingers crossed it's the former.
