5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 3 - Results & Review)

4. This Rock Solid Match

Skye Blue
AEW

Credit to the agent responsible for Skye Blue vs. Marina Shafir. The match was well-laid out backstage and well-worked in execution out in front of fans. Shafir is visibly improving with each passing match (she may never be AEW's top dog, but that doesn't mean she can't nail down a solid spot), and Skye is a proper talent.

Blue is the future of this division, no doubt.

Skye even bit Marina at one point during the bout to sell her ongoing struggle against...whatever Julia Hart's mist did to her. AEW developed that story by having Blue fight back against the House Of Black witch on Dynamite, so it'll be interesting to see what happens there.

There was a nice level of fire right from the off in this one, and that helped a lot. Skye is at her best when she's physically dominated and hurled around by bigger opponents, because she's really great at fighting from underneath.

Good stuff.
