5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sep 10)

Ups...

5. Jon Moxley Is A 'Loose Cannon'

Jon Moxley Brian Pillman Jr
AEW

Slight contradiction time.

No, it doesn't make much sense in the context of AEW generally, but Jon Moxley rushing out to save Brian Pillman Jr did give Rampage some extra star power right at the end. That wasn't the worst idea, although it is fair to say that All Elite will have to follow up on this something physical between The Acclaimed and Mox.

If they don't, then this was pointless, and that'd be a waste. Fans seemed into the idea of Moxley and Pillman Jr linking up (where does this leave poor Griff though?!), so AEW might want to book a tag match for next week's show and build towards it on Dynamite. Y'know, flip the script a little and make this third hour seem more important.

Bonus points for choosing Moxley too - he has a similar 'Loose Cannon' vibe to Brian's father, which is something the commentary team can hype up if they're gonna be teaming occasionally. The company could do worse than using Mox to give someone else the rub.
