5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sep 10)

4. Readying Ruby

Ruby Soho Kris Statlander Riho
AEW

OK, first things first...some housekeeping. This fan has never been sweet on Riho. The good news? She's in the rearview mirror as far as top names in AEW's female ranks are concerned, and it's absolutely fine if she's just making up the numbers in six-woman tags like the one on Rampage.

Ruby Soho, Kris Statlander and Britt Baker though? Awesome.

Pushing Ruby into a title shot against Britt instantly is a good call from Tony Khan and chums. She was popular in WWE without ever catching fire, and there's been a slow-burning cult-like desire to see her get proper recognition. AEW can provide that, and a feud with Baker could be special.

Soho pinned Rebel for the win here, and that also rocked. This six-woman wasn't crisp, particularly when Riho was in there early on, but it got the job done and has helped establish a brand new threat to a certain 'D.M.D'. Can't argue too much with that.
