5 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 8)

5. A Team At Last?
Following a few weeks of back and forth between the pair, it looks as if Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards are finally on the same page. The duo had previously tried to be a team, but Eli's hypocrisy towards Eddie's use of Kenny the kendo stick and hardcore wrestling in general prevented them from being a proper pairing.
Drake saved Edwards and his wife Alisha from an attack at the hands of The Desi Hit Squad, although it initially looked as if he was going to join in on the attack. The former American Wolf was still hesitant to team with the namer of dummies, refusing to do so until Alisha had her say. Eventually, Eli was able to persuade Eddie to team with him against the DHS next week.
It's been a long journey for the newly formed team. We know exactly what Eddie can do in a tag team - his long-storied partnership with Davey Richards remains one of the finest tandems in independent wrestling history. It may take some getting used to he and Eli Drake as a single unit, but all great teams have to start somewhere.
