Whilst they're sorting out the men's tag-team scene, WWE should take a gander at the women's one too. It's so paper-thin it's almost non-existent, and that's why so many thrown-together tandems were allowed to challenge for the belts on this week's SmackDown.

What did sudden duos like Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks or Bayley and Carmella do to earn a title shot?

WWE's announcers have spent weeks talking about how The Riott Squad wanted an opportunity. They're a proper full-time tag, and it's a bit insulting that they were pushed to the back of the line so four singles stars could align and go after titles held by another two singles wrestlers who just so happen to have titles.

The match was predictably good (there was too much talent for it to suck), but that's not really the point here; the women's tag ranks are far too empty, and WWE cannot let this go on forever. They badly need to start focusing on proper pairings.
