5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (1 May - Results & Review)
Ups...
5. Rescuing Something Post-Match
Their post-match pulled the nose up though.
Here's a thought: What if Jay and Dante were simply holding something back for future matches 'cause they know Top Flight vs. Bang Bang Gang is incoming for the Unified Trios Titles? That's possible. There's defo gonna be time for them to make up for Rampage's surprisingly low-key effort, and the post-match attack proved it.
White tossed his belts aside and decided to indulge in a little extra curricular activity before Action Andretti and Darius Martin came in for the save. Nobody should be against the thought of Top Flight going after The Gunns and White soon. Fingers crossed AEW has the sense to use White's sh*thousery as story and doesn't just whizz through the match next week.
Tony Khan is real guilty of that. He lines up matches with one story beat, then everyone acts like nothing happened in the first place as soon as the resultant match is over. Like Jay vs. Dante, All Elite's product could do with better pacing to help bring out the best in it.
