5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (1 May - Results & Review)

2. Kicking Off With That Continuation

Continuing the Kenny Omega angle from Dynamite into the opening few minutes of Rampage was a fine idea. Hopefully, it kept a few more folks around who'd typically tune out once the third hour of these semi-regular concentrated TV blocks started; still, AEW should put Rampage on before the other shows.

The angle worked well.

The Elite attacking Omega whilst he was being wheeled into an ambulance hammered home their dirtbag status, and it heaped yet more sympathy onto Kenny. There are so many different directions AEW can take this, including the always sought-after visual of Omega stand across the ring from Kazuchika Okada.

Then, there are bouts vs. Jack Perry, both of The Bucks individually and possibly even a 'Blood & Guts' set piece team effort. Omega, FTR and Swerve Strickland vs. The Elite could be fun. Swerve did reference The Bucks attack on Tony Khan during his Dynamite promo, after all. Don't forget that.
