5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 14)

2. Tag. Team. Wrestling.

Keith Lee Dustin Rhodes
AEW

Keith Lee going from teaming with Swerve Strickland to buddying up with Dustin Rhodes had this fan shaking his head when it happened, but it's impossible to argue with tag-team wrestling this solid. Yours truly can bitch about Keith's booking all he likes, but he had a good time watching this match.

That's really all that matters in the heat of the moment, eh?

JAS duo (for now) Matt Menard and Angelo Parker are a good team who understand old-school psychology, and that helped. Heap on Dustin's knowledge of when to make a hot tag and you had one of the slickest, most logical tag matches you're likely to see on AEW programming.

It was a bonus that Lee got to look like the wrecking ball of the team too. "Naturally Limitless" isn't the best All Elite could do for the guy, but this was a good outing for everyone involved. If only Tony Khan had thought to insert some JAS friction too.
