5 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2018
Ups...
5. New Stars Shine
The X Division has two new names in Willie Mack and Ethan Page, assuming both stick around post-BFG. They're agile for their size, as evidenced by Page giving out a belter of a Swanton Bomb, and would be great assets to the active roster.
The newcomers were the stars of the match as they showed everyone why they deserve to be on the big stages. It was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bout, especially from Mack who was the MVP of the four men involved, and a perfect way to kick off Impact's biggest PPV.
If Impact choose to keep Mack and Page as regular roster members, it'd be another stepping stone in bringing the X Division back to its glory days of exceptional athletes and matches. In a few months time, it'll be recognised as one of the best divisions in wrestling.
Aside from the new blood making a name for themselves, the match did exactly what it set out to do - put an end to the Swann and Sydal rivalry once and for all, with Rich getting the pin over his bitter rival. Finally, we can move on from having Sydal disturbing Swann week after week.
