5 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2018

4. It's In The Name

Despite the expectations of her to sign a WWE contract, Tessa Blanchard has found a home in Impact Wrestling. At only 23 years old, she's an immensely talented wrestler, which comes as no surprise seeing as her father is the legendary Tully Blanchard. Wrestling runs in her blood.

Her Knockouts Championship defence against Taya Valkyrie wasn't billed too highly on the card, but that doesn't make ie something people should look down upon. Although it may not have had as much praise as the others, Blanchard and Valkyrie still managed to deliver a fun clash that saw Taya kick out of Tessa's hammerlock DDT finisher.

Tessa has been a real success story since her Impact debut back at April's Redemption pay-per-view. Some fans were maybe slightly concerned that she'd be lost in the shuffle with all the drama surrounding Allie and Su Yung, but she's made a home for herself on top of the Knockouts division. A strong signing for Impact that has worked out terrifically for both Tessa and the company as a whole.
