5 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 8)
1. Pancakes Bloody Pancakes

In a segment likely penned by the same genius that came up with last week's Big Cass vs. "Little" Daniel Bryan confrontation, Sheamus and Cesaro engaged in a backstage skit revolving almost entirely around pancakes and Lucky Charms. It was every bit as bad as it sounds.
Upset with the previous week's loss to Xavier Woods, Sheamus was shown shovelling fistfuls of the leprechaun-themed cereal down his throat - because Ireland. Him and Cesaro then teased tension, with the 'Swiss Superman' calling his mopey partner out, before going to his bag. Unfortunately for The Bar, some cheeky scamps had filled both holdalls with pancakes, and the scene closed on the enraged Europeans spitting barbs.
What's frustrating about this is that SmackDown already had an excellent tag division a few months ago, and strengthened in the Superstar Shake-Up, yet this is how WWE choose to present them. Why would two grown men get so bent out of shape about a bag full of pancakes? At the moment, the feud is based around them and The New Day's divergent breakfast food tastes, and it's putrid.
