5 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Nov 15)
Ups...
5. Last Of A Dying Breed
Eli Drake made an extremely valid point on this week's Impact, as he referred to himself as the last of a dying breed. He didn't need to be a flashy high-flyer or a hardcore fanatic - all he needed was a microphone.
The former World Champion has been on a bit of a downward spiral as of late, wanting to sue Impact Wrestling before assaulting his attorney Joseph Park. None of it really made any sense. Thankfully, he does what he says he does, and that's deliver on the mic. His promo performance here was exceptional. Even though he said no to a match with Tommy Dreamer then and there, it was still one of the best parts of the entire show.
As a result of what happened here, we can expect to see a Drake vs Dreamer match to take place at some point or another. This would all seem a bit pointless if that weren't the case, no matter how excellent the promo was.
