5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2024
2. Women Overcome Missteps
Early on in the women’s Money in the Bank match, it was impossible not to cringe and worry about the safety of the six wrestlers involved – and not in a good, entertained way.
A few spots involving the ladders seemed to go awry, with wrestlers landing on them awkwardly and seemingly getting hurt, and you couldn’t help but wonder if this was going to go off the rails. But the women worked exceptionally hard to pull things together and turn in a really solid match that rivaled the men’s bout.
The women’s MITB featured some great little moments: Lyra Valkyria being hung upside-down and hitting Iyo Sky with a sit-up German suplex off the ladder; Naomi straddling two ladders and managing to nail a split-legged DDT; Sky wiping out Zoey Stark with a Michinoku Driver on a ladder bridge; and Chelsea Green falling from a ladder in the ring through two tables on the floor.
Great overall work from the women making for a solid semi-main event, with Tiffany Stratton earning her nod as the new Miss Money in the Bank.
