5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (18 Dec - Results & Review)
2. Heatless, Sloppy Title Change
Kayden Carter and Katana Chance have been tagging together for several years now, and they’ve developed some good tandem offense and decent chemistry between the two.
And yet, the party girls who like to have fun just haven’t clicked in a meaningful way with fans yet. Their crowning WWE achievement came Monday night in a tag title match that was sloppy and played to muted responses throughout. The fans came up a few times, but it was not a sustained reaction or investment in the match.
It doesn’t help that the only character development for KC-Squared has been that they’re pint-sized and they like to party. And as great as Chelsea Green has been throughout the year, her routine is starting to sputter and misfire, especially with several subpar matches under her and Piper Niven’s collective belts recently. At some point, you have to put in the work when the bell rings.
While this was a nice moment for Carter and Chance and popped the crowd, it just wasn’t anything that will be remembered as a special moment or anything meaningful.
