5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (19 July - Results & Review)

2. Not Sure This Is The Way To Go

Speaking of weird story choices.

Bayley pointing out that Nia Jax is "clumsy" and prone to hurting people she wrestles? Yeah, the lines are a little too blurry there. Why would a heel like Nia get bent out of shape because she's called out for hurting opponents? If anything, Jax would laugh that off. Instead, Bayley managed to get under her skin.

Then, Nia stormed out of their sit-down interview in a huff. Hmm. This fan still believes these women will deliver the goods come SummerSlam, but he's not sold on WWE going there with the build. So, Nia is a cold, callous heel who's also self-aware and self-conscious about her spotty record of injuring other members of the roster.

Nah, that's overdoing it and just isn't necessary for her title challenge. Sorry, but Bayley's stories since winning the Women's Title at WrestleMania have flat out sucked. Contrast and compare her aura to someone like Rhea Ripley over on Raw. It's night and day.
