3. Triple H’s Little Lie

Triple H Randy Orton

Sorry, Trips, but you were spitting noise here.

Triple H said that Kevin Owens never had a friend in the business he wasn't willing to stab in the back until Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Sure, everyone understands what WWE are going for here, but it's hard to swallow considering KO's richer history with Sami Zayn compared to either Cody or Randy.

Is Hunter seriously trying to suggest that Orton was Kev's best mate in the whole wide world just because they've been teaming together on-screen for a while as R-KO? Creative don't even need to play pretend with that story. It's a bit insulting to fans who follow this stuff long-term and care about minor details between wrestlers.

KO falling out with Orton and Rhodes will never be more shocking than any of his stuff with Sami. Simple as that. No, this little lie from 'The Game' didn't destroy an otherwise fine opening segment, but it did stick out as odd. It was nonsensical to suggest that Randy, Cody and Kevin were besties for life before this recent angle.
