5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (3 Oct - Results & Review)

2. Several Midcard Acts Are Struggling

Solo Sikoa MFTs
WWE

A few brief moments on Friday's show laid bare just how paper-thin direction is for acts like Solo Sikoa, his MFTs, Jacob Fatu, The Street Profits and The Wyatt Sicks. All of them are struggling to convince right now, which is a shame. The Profits have abandoned their simmering tensions to get back on the same page, but The Sicks are still pushing their supernatural rubbish.

It's largely the same thing each and every time they appear.

There's a total lack of oomph behind Fatu at the moment too, and that sucks considering how red hot he was earlier in the year. How did we get here?! The dude's lost of all that edge and menace he had when he was ripping through Braun Strowman or winning the United States Title. It turns out that being one dimensional was a blessing for Jacob.

Also, if Sikoa is talking about adding more members to his wannabe Bloodline, then don’t bother please! The last thing pro wrestling needs is yet another bloated faction full of folks who aren't over or barely make an impact. AEW already has the stuffed Don Callis Family for that, and there's just no way these MFTs can be anywhere near as effective as The Vision.

If anything, it'd be best to strip back on numbers and see what Solo can achieve as a midcard heel with comedic splashes. He was doing well with that a few months back, but now he's lost his way heading into the final 3 months of 2025. Giving him more minions probably won't help his plight.
