5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 9)

Asuka gets a new belt; Charlotte Flair returns; The Usos are...finished?!

New belt, but a familiar feud.

WWE presented Asuka with the brand new Women's Championship on this week's episode of SmackDown. Then, interrupting the party, Charlotte Flair returned to get right in her face and demand yet another title crack. Adam Pearce later obliged, and the match is set for 30 June (24 hours before Money In The Bank).

That wasn't the only drama-filled moment on Smackers though. Paul Heyman did his best to manipulate Jey Uso into ditching Jimmy for good and becoming a Bloodline successor to Roman Reigns. This excellent story is one WWE creative are understandably unwilling to move on from, which is why they kept things going here.

Despite pre-show hype, Jey did not make a decision on his future. That'll come soon. Instead, Uso received a United States Title shot, then another reason to be p*ssed at his brother for smashing him with a superkick HBK would've been proud of.

Friday's edition was a solid two hours, albeit one without as much in-ring action as it probably needed. Here's all the good and bad from it!
