5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 9)

2. Unifying The Women’s Tag Titles

Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn don't need to be carting those NXT Women's Tag belts around now they're main roster. Being brutally honest, the titles have always come across as fairly useless anyway. Perhaps that's harsh, but they arguably mean even less than the often-overlooked Raw/SmackDown versions.

That is not a compliment, folks.

Unifying the NXT versions with the Women's Tag straps proper is the way to go, and that's what WWE will do next. Fyre and Dawn will wrestle Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler on the 23 June SmackDown, and it looks like unification will be the main objective. Good.

There's no reason why the two Scots can't shine vs. Rousey and Baszler before eating defeat. If booked correctly, this match could end up being a breakout moment for both, and a sign that WWE is serious about getting them over.

Yes, yes that is possible even when losing.
