5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 9)

1. Goodbye, Raw Confusion!

Some folks out there are already dumping all over the new Women's Title design after that Asuka segment, but WWE had to do something. They couldn't continue to have Asuka run around with a Raw belt on SmackDown for too much longer post-Draft.

Besides, the white leather backing gives her new belt a clean aesthetic, and it actually suits the lavish gold plating far more than the darker shade used for Roman Reigns' Undisputed prize. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Rhea Ripley on Monday too - surely she's next in line for a title presentation.

Clearing up some confusion was a shrewd move regardless.

WWE can avoid one of those painful belt swap segments by doing things this way. Title uniqueness is a lost concept on the company these days, apparently, but that's fine when titles like this one pop into view. It certainly looks less...toy-like than the red and blue belts seen previously.
