5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 8)

1. Drafting Is Important…Or Not!

So, this was silly and counterproductive.

One minute, Adam Pearce and Paul Heyman were waxing lyrical about Jey Uso's jump to Raw and the latter begged SmackDown's default GM to tell him who was being drafted over as a replacement. Their banter put the brand exclusivity idea over as important, but that didn't last long.

Literally seconds later, LA Knight burst in and convincing Pearce to schedule a rematch with The Miz for next week's episode. This is why so many have a tough time during Draft season. It has no credibility, especially when WWE is flip-flopping on it during the same promo.

Jey Uso bolted to Raw and SmackDown needs compensation by taking one of the flagship's stars, but...Raw man Miz can just waltz on over whenever he feels like it? At least try to insert a storyline reason for that instead of insulting fan intelligence, please.
