5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Collision (11 May - Results & Review)

Ups...

5. Hell Of A Surprise Package

Will Ospreay Lee Moriarty Roderick Strong
AEW

OK, so Ospreay vs. Moriarty was waaaaaaay better than this guy was expecting going in. Truthfully, there was some eye rolling in this household when the match was announced, because it seemed like Will would gobble Lee up in 3-4 minutes. Honestly, yours truly should've known better, because Ospreay isn't that kind of worker.

He prefers to work, work, work and try to make the best of every scenario.

So, the actual match was a surprise package, but that's only half the story. Roderick Strong joined commentary and pointed out Will's hesitation to hit the Tiger Driver '91. Hesitate like that at Double Or Nothing, Roddy said, and Ospreay would be in trouble during their International Title showdown.

Some wrestlers are obnoxious to the extreme on guest comms but offer no insight or story context. Strong nailed it, and Ospreay won using a Stormbreaker instead of the Tiger Driver to prove a point pre-PPV. Stunning attention to detail from everyone involved.
