5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Feb 4)

3. Uh, Tully...

Tully Blanchard
AEW

Tully Blanchard cut a quick promo prior to Shawn Spears' match with the Best Friends, stating that he was still on a quest to find his charge a perfect tag team partner. He'd been searching, pouring over resumes, consuming footage, and working hard to find the right guy for his man, leading him to Colin Delaney.

Yup, that Colin Delaney.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense in kayfabe. In the shared mainstream wrestling universe, Delaney is a jobber. He's an enhancement guy, yet Blanchard, whose supposed to be a managerial mastermind, built him up as Spears' elusive perfect partner. That's weird.

Colin did a good job on the show and it was nice to see AEW throwing him a bone, but this was kayfabe chaos.
