5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (27 April)

There was some fun stuff in the Jericho Appreciation Society's interactions with Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz last night, like Angelo Parker shutting the crowd down post-Judas then referring to them as the "AEW Galaxy", though the in-ring segment was awkward, with the protagonists coming off like they weren't on the same page, tripping over sentences and getting in each others' way.
Tony Khan had stipulated that the opposing sides should meet without violence. The babyfaces tested the boundaries by tossing the pre-arranged chairs out of the ring, then cutting into Jericho and co. on the microphone. Kingston, the realest guy in professional wrestling, got right in Chris' face, letting him know that when you "put a hit" on somebody (as Jericho had promised), you have to put them in the ground. Later, the JAS responded by beating Santana and Ortiz down backstage and then throwing a fireball in Kingston's face.
The execution of the in-ring segment was the issue here. This was a messy bit of business that felt inessential, even with the fireball later on. Kingston showed great intensity, Daniel Garcia was obnoxious, and the crew at least did a good job of emphasising that the babyfaces are at a five-on-three disadvantage, but this was the least useful segment from this feud so far.
