5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 16)

4. More Simple Build

Samoa Joe Wardlow
AEW

Wardlow beating Exodus Prime (which sounds like an old N64 game or the next Dream Theater album) then calling out Samoa Joe was all decent fare. This writer hasn't been enamoured with their tag-team, largely because 'WarJoe' was a crap name, but they'll surely work well against one another.

That's the plan, and Joe set it up.

He flashed up on the tron following Wardlow's "Powerbomb Symphony" to say they'd wage war on the 28 December Dynamite. Sounds like a party, fellas. As usual, the Samoan's intensity was fire, and the fact he's calling himself "the king of television" is a hoot.

Squashes like Wardlow vs. Prime are usually a negative on Rampage, but this was well-done and set-up a major TNT Title bout after Christmas. In other news, Mr. Prime takes one heck of a powerbomb, and his sell for some of those should probs go on Wardlow's tron ASAP.
