5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Grand Slam (Sept 22 - Results & Review)

3. Opening Tag-Team Fun

Sting Luchasaurus
AEW

You know what you're gonna get from a Sting and Darby Allin tag these days. That's not a bad thing - far from it! Christian Cage and Luchasaurus also work so well together a team, and it's worth noting how giving Cage is willing to be during matches. That's nothing new, of course.

Personally, this fan loved the "Scorpion Death Coffin Drop" combo Stinger and Darby hit on the big dino too. That didn't end up being the finish, but it looked sweet, and the whole match wound up being excellent build for Saturday's TNT Title clash on Collision.

Decent story + good action = happy days.

There's still joy to be gleaned from seeing Sting wrestle in short bursts like he did on Friday. The opener benefitted from being first out on Rampage as well, because that meant it didn't suffer from the samey feel most other tags on the card had.
