5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 5 - Results & Review)

2. This Was Fun

Matt Jeff Hardy Mark Briscoe

Anyone who reads these Rampage recaps regularly will know they're not always kind to The Hardys. This week, things will be a bit different. Matt and Jeff looked motivated to do their best during the opening six-man alongside Mark Briscoe (who is always full of energy) vs. Kip Sabian, The Butcher and Blade.

There were no real slip-ups, and everything the veteran siblings tried came off. Yep, it does feel like we've seen this match a million times somehow, but it was still a good watch and ended up being a cool way to kick off the show. This writer wouldn't be aghast if Matt, Jeff and Briscoe had a run at the Trios Titles.

Of course, something else The Hardys have going on might've iced that thought.

In-ring, all of Matt and Jeff's spots worked out. Jeff wasn't flopping around the place struggling to hit his marks, and Matt looked a little looser than he typically does out there these days. You've gotta call 'em how you see 'em, and this was a blast.
