5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sep 24)

3. The Dark Order

Also, can everybody please stop pretending that The Dark Order are awesome?

OK, few genuinely do, but there's this sense in AEW circles that The Order must linger around like a bad smell like it's 2019 and this company doesn't have better ideas. The stable's original menace is gone, and they're pointless after an admittedly heartfelt run paying homage to Brodie Lee.

That was sentimental and lovely, but this 2021 version of the group is painful to watch. They didn't need to run in for a big brawl after the women's match - that added nothing to Rampage, and came out looking like Vince Russo was backstage having a few cocktails and pulling names out of a hat.

Face it, Anna Jay has outgrown The Dark Order. She needs to leave Evil Uno, Colt Cabana and cronies behind before they start appearing less like stablemates and more like leeches who hurt her chances to succeed more than help them.
