5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 16)

1. More Sudden Challengers For Jade

Diamante just stepped up to challenge Jade Cargill for the TBS Title during 'Grand Slam' week despite losing her last two matches on Dark and Dark: Elevation. If that doesn't sum up the sheer state of AEW title rankings system, then nothing will.

More great logic from a company that crows about championship rankings.

Come on now - dispense with this idea that rankings matter if you're just going to throw stopgap challengers at champions willy nilly. Also, Rampage could've done without Jade rubbishing the entire women's division with air quotes too. That was unnecessary, and stupid considering she should be proud of sitting near the top.

Another problem: Cargill ditched Stokely Hathaway because he was a joke, but he's over here grabbing title opportunities for MJF and being treated like a mastermind? Which one is it? Yeah, here's hoping Diamante vs. Jade delivers in-ring at least, because the setup was annoyingly sudden.
