5 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jul 14)

1. Everyone Gets A Chance

With the Knockouts Championship number one contender's Gauntlet Match coming up on Saturday, a ten Knockout tag team match opened this week's episode of Impact Wrestling, and it was an absolute hoot to watch from start to finish.

Pitting Kylie Rae, Susie, Havok, Nevaeh, and Alisha Edwards vs. Rosemary, Taya Valkyrie, Kiera Hogan, Tasha Steelz, and Kimber Lee, this sort of match was the perfect way to build towards Saturday's Gauntlet Match. Multi-person matches can always be a tricky one in the sense that it's possible not everyone will get the opportunity to showcase themselves, however, that certainly wasn't the case here, with all ten Knockouts getting the chance to shine. Even Madison Rayne on commentary, the eleventh competitor in the match, did some excellent work behind the announce booth, noting that her adversaries were weakening themselves just a few days before the contendership match.

A superkick from 'Smiley Kylie' led Kimber Lee into a Panic Switch from Susie for the three count, with Susie showing signs of 'The Undead Bride' post-match being a notable highlight. With a mass brawl taking place after the bell, it would be Kylie Rae left standing tall, essentially confirming she won't be winning on Saturday if that nuanced trademark is to be believed.

Simply put, there was no better match to hold before Slammiversary.
