5 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Jun 14)

2. 50/50 Booking (But It's Fine)

This week's opening match was actually a rematch between The North, and Rob Van Dam and Sabu. As was the case with their match prior, it was fine for what it was. The main reason it received a Down the last time around was because it was won by RVD and Sabu - the wrong winners.

Here though, it would be Ethan Page and Josh Alexander that went back through the curtain with a tick in the win column after they planted Sabu into the mat with their old Monster Mash finisher. Essentially, it's a double Neutralizer (it's a shame The Bar used the aided White Noise instead of this as their tandem finisher). The win came with help from Moose as he shoved Van Dam off the ropes before he and Sabu could hit a double team.

We've already spoken about what happened after the match so let's focus on the positives here. The North got their win back, which actually earns them a future tag titles match. It's taking place at one of those live specials that aren't classed as pay-per-views so they're almost certainly not lifting the gold, but it's the opportunity that counts.
