5 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Mar 15)

2. Action-Packed Opener

The opening bout on this week’s episode of Impact was truly a tantalising contest. While the storyline may only be endless amounts of Sami Callihan asking Rich Swann to join he and the Crist brothers, the action itself has more than made up for that.

The six man tag match with all three of oVe against Swann, Willie Mack, and Tommy Dreamer was, as you would expect, a chaotic brawl. Dreamer may seem an odd fit into this rivalry, but at least he’s not taking anything away from the regular roster. In fact, he put Sami over, taking the pin from The Draw after a brutal piledriver.

In hindsight, we didn’t actually get any proper storyline continuation between Callihan and Swann this week, leaving us exactly where we’ve been for the last few weeks. Despite that, you can’t really be arguing too much (at least for now) when the matches have been as great as this. As long as we eventually get a definitive conclusion to the fued, then it’ll have all been worth it.

As a side note – can we get Dave and Jake Crist back to normal tag action soon?
