5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (4 Dec - Results & Review)

1. Thread Lost

Last week’s reveal that Shinsuke Nakamura was targeting Cody Rhodes was a bit divisive: several fans and critics groaned and rolled their eyes, while others (including this column) were willing to let it play out.

The bloom came off the rose Monday night with yet another Nakamura recorded promo interruption, with the King of Strong Style explaining his actions through video footage of himself and Cody both winning the Royal Rumble and falling short in their respective world title matches at WrestleMania. He said both men suffered the same humiliation and that he was going to finish Rhodes’ story.

Cody for his part put over the misting he received last week and after the video promo dared Nakamura to prove that the two of them were the same.

This could have been so much more of a feud, but instead, it was a bit letdown. Any interest that might have existed last week evaporated in a matter of minutes.
