When your new spooky stable is inadvertently dismissed with just three words, it might be time to pack up shop and cut your losses.

The Wyatt Sick6 has been a bit of a polarizing act since debuting on Raw. The very real tragedy that gave birth to the group has earned them a tremendous amount of intrigue, support, and respect from fans and critics alike. And fans in the arena react loudly every time they appear.

But three straight weeks of the same routine – the lights go out, smoke fills the ring, Chad Gable is scared/perplexed, Nikki Cross appears and hands a VHS tape to the announcers – doesn’t leave you feeling much of anything from the group. The video itself at least seemed to reveal the wrestlers under the masks, but it was more exposition without a ton of promise.

What separated this appearance was Raw cutting to a backstage interview with Sheamus, who sort of rubbed his chin and remarked, “That was weird,” before continuing on with his promo like nothing happened. Keep in mind that this stable made its debut by conducting a backstage massacre and have been terrorizing Gable weekly. Jey Uso fled Monday night as if he’d seen a ghost.

But Sheamus blew the Wyatt Sick6 off like it was Eugene, R-Truth, and Santino Marella goofing around in the ring. Why should anyone take them seriously if other wrestlers just brush off their spooky act so nonchalantly?
