5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (July 24)

1. Dirty Dom's Honky Tonk Man Vibes

Dominik Mysterio can do no wrong right now.

Fresh off main eventing WWE TV numerous times last week, the Judgment Day man beat Sami Zayn in a fun NXT North American Title defence on Monday's episode of Raw. It was better for Kevin Owens, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest being booted from ringside too, which is interesting.

That put full focus on Dom and Sami, and meant they could go about their business by producing a tidy match. Compare this to all of the hijinks that accompanied Dominik vs. Butch on last week's SmackDown; it's night and day, people. Here, WWE ignored diluting the spotlight in favour of shining it solely on the match.

Priest and Ripley attacked KO backstage and dragged him out onto the stage to distract Zayn. It worked, and led to Dom Dom pulling off a Honky Tonk Man-esque win. Everyone knew Sami was never winning the NXT gold here, but that kind of screwy finish goes a long way for a character like Mysterio's.
