5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (11 Apr - Results & Review)
Cody Rhodes goes "spinner"; Rey Fenix shines again; Randy Orton gets a new WrestleMania 41 foe.

Solo Sikoa looks likely to be WWE's replacement for Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. That won't satisfy everyone out there, but it's a decent sub. Those yearning to see SmackDown GM Nick Aldis trade his sharp suits for ring gear shouldn't fret though - creative slyly suggested that they'll come back to Aldis vs. Orton at some point in the future. This story ain't over, people, and neither is KO vs. Randy.
A fair chunk of time on this week's show was devoted to a Gauntlet bout with Women's Tag-Team Title ramifications. The winners would challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the main card at 'Mania. There was an 'Up' and a 'Down' in the same match, but the highs were great. There's less positivity on the male tag-team front.
Triple H might've let his troops down there, but there's still time yet to put things right.
Rey Fenix showed more of what he's capable of in yet another dazzling exhibition, Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest continued working hard to make something of their upcoming 'Sin City Street Fight', and poster boy Cody Rhodes was put right up against it by the fact John Cena chose not to include Seattle on his retirement tour. Also, where's The Rock?!
Somewhat remarkably, both Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton made up for their messy verbal exchange last week by keeping things simple after a celebration of everything right with NXT. Wade Barrett even stuck his nose in to add a splash of realism to the story. A splash of realism WWE chiefs would've wanted this time!
Here's all the good and bad from the penultimate SmackDown before WrestleMania.
