3. The Protest Concert

Whether you have time for WWE's reliance on angles or not, that 'Protest Concert' skit involving Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Elias and Braun Strowman was light-hearted and popular with the Vancouver crowd. They were audibly into it, and only cheered louder for Elias the more Sami and Cesaro pretended they could play instruments.

"Less cowbell" was a stroke of genius.

OK, so nobody thought SmackDown on FOX was going to be riddled with these silly sports entertainment fluff pieces, but this was a good laugh and everyone played their roles brilliantly. Sami was an obnoxious d*ck, Cesaro his over-enthusiastic heavy, Elias got big pops and Braun looked like a no-nonsense monster again.

If WWE's writers are going to book this sort of stuff, then they should make sure to do it using guys and gals who can carry segments. Congratulations, Zayn, you're finally forgiven for all that Bobby Lashley trash a few years ago. This was funny.
