5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (26 June - Results & Review)

1. What Was That About ‘Just Not Interesting’?

LA Knight Solo Sikoa

Later, Solo propositioned LA Knight about teaming up to take down Roman, but Knight was having none of it. Yeah, not sure this is as compelling as WWE wants it to be. Like, which outcome actually flies here? Solo and Knight as a team? Nope. Solo back in The Bloodline? Nope. Again, it’s all so played out and nWo B-squad levels of diluted at this point.

If they're lucky, then WWE might be able to garner some sympathy for Sikoa longer term and turn him into a worthwhile babyface. That's honestly the best case scenario though, and it definitely isn't guaranteed. If nothing else, perhaps SmackDown dropping from 3 to 2 hours will stop Solo's grip on talking segments on the blue brand.

He's been trying for sure, but this MFTs stuff has been appalling at times. It's so flimsy, and they never properly got going before the rug was pulled by releasing members like JC, Tonga etc. Not only that, but Sikoa's actual relationship with Tama and Talla hasn't been explored fully to any real extent, and now they've left his side too.

There's no call for LA and Solo joining forces to take the fight to The Bloodline. None. To that point, this was one hell of a crummy excuse for bringing Knight over to SmackDown. What did he really have to gain by asking Sikoa why he helped him on Monday anyway? Why would he even care that much when he admitted himself he could never trust Solo anyway?!

Stop to think before putting these skits on the format sheets, guys.
